flydubai to restart daily Dubai-Aleppo flights on July 20

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES / RankWire.AI / – flydubai will restart daily nonstop flights between Dubai and Aleppo on July 20, 2026, restoring the route after nearly 14 years. The service will link Dubai International Airport with Aleppo International Airport in northern Syria. Aleppo will become the airline’s second destination in the country, joining Damascus. The return adds another scheduled connection between the United Arab Emirates and Syria during the summer travel period, with tickets already available through the carrier’s sales channels.

The airline will operate the route once each day from Terminal 3 at Dubai International. Flight FZ1191 will leave Dubai at 11 a.m. and reach Aleppo at 1:40 p.m. local time. The return service, FZ1192, will leave Aleppo at 2:40 p.m. It will reach Dubai at 7:20 p.m. local time. The published timetable gives travelers a nonstop option in both directions, with all departure and arrival times listed in local time.

The new service forms part of the codeshare partnership between flydubai and Emirates. Passengers can book a single ticket and check baggage through to eligible connecting destinations. They can also use the airlines’ combined networks for onward travel from Dubai. Return Economy Lite fares from Dubai start at 1,800 dirhams, while Business Class fares start at 8,000 dirhams. From Aleppo, return fares start at $470 in Economy Lite and $2,000 in Business Class.

    Daily service expands Syrian network

The Aleppo restart follows flydubai’s return to Damascus on June 1, 2025. The carrier initially restored a daily service between Dubai and the Syrian capital. It now operates three daily flights on the route, according to its latest announcement. Hamad Obaidalla, flydubai’s chief commercial officer, said demand on Damascus services had increased since operations resumed. He said the Aleppo flight would give customers another direct option between Dubai and Syria.

flydubai first began serving Aleppo on July 13, 2009, six weeks after starting commercial operations. Aleppo was its fifth destination and made Syria the first country with two flydubai routes. The original daily service used a Boeing 737-800 and linked Dubai with Syria’s second-largest city. The airline later halted the route, creating the interruption that will end with the July 20 restart. The renewed service will again place Aleppo alongside Damascus in flydubai’s Syrian network.

    Codeshare supports onward connections

Passengers on the Aleppo route will travel on aircraft from flydubai’s Boeing 737 fleet. The airline said its onboard offering includes lie-flat seats in Business Class, Economy Class seating, entertainment and meal service. The aircraft also provide cargo capacity on the Dubai-Aleppo sector. Customers can book through flydubai’s website, mobile app, contact center, travel shops or travel partners. The carrier has listed the daily flights in its timetable ahead of the scheduled start date.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai’s chief executive, said the airline aims to support Dubai’s aviation hub through direct links to underserved markets. He said daily Aleppo flights would serve business travelers, people visiting relatives and cargo customers. flydubai operates more than 140 destinations in 58 countries with a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft. Its fleet includes 26 Boeing 737-800s, 68 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and three Boeing 737 MAX 9s. The carrier has transported more than 137 million passengers since operations began in June 2009.
